Vintage racing reached a pinnacle of revival at the World Championship Derby in 2002 when Vintage sleds occupied their own full weekend of racing.  Prior to 2002 the Derby had been adding a few vintage class races to their championship weekend.

By 2000 it was becoming evident that Vintage was growing at a fast pace and needed more than a few slots at the Derby. The sleds being raced were well restored classics and the fans welcomed their “old favorites” with enthusiasm.

Today Vintage racing has expanded from coast to coast and Canada. It has it’s own fans and it’s own driver celebrities.

In 2017, the TRIG’S SMOKEHOUSE Vintage World Championship Derby Presented by Bull Falls Brewery will be the weekend of January 13th to the 15th. Come for a whole weekend of Classic Racing and remember the “good old days” of snowmobile racing.
